King Henselt of Kaedwen championed the idea, yet the coalition fractured immediately under Radovid V’s shadowy interference and deep-seated mistrust between monarchs. The resulting army was a patchwork of conflicting dialects and traditions, where allies eyed each other with more suspicion than the enemy approaching from the south. The League's existence culminated in the Battle of Sodden Hill. Despite the heroic efforts of mages who formed a defensive line atop the mountain, the lack of coordinated strategy and Kaedwen’s eventual hesitation led to the alliance's dissolution. The failure proved that without genuine unity, the North's individual kingdoms were destined to fall one by one.
